Salta Capital — La Linda

Salta Capital

La Linda. The Heart of Northwest Argentina

Salta is one of the most beautiful and culturally rich cities in Argentina. Its intact colonial architecture, the folklore lived on every corner, and the warmth of its people make this city a unique experience. At the heart of it all is Balcarce, the most vibrant street in the city — and that's where we are. For adventure seekers, we're just 20 minutes by car from Quebrada de San Lorenzo, Salta's trekking gem. From here, the entire NOA is within reach.

History & Culture

Three centuries of history in every building

Founded in 1582, Salta has preserved its historic district almost intact. The Basilica Cathedral, San Francisco Church, the MAAM — High Altitude Archaeology Museum — and Paseo Güemes are just some of the places you can walk to from the hotel in under 10 minutes.

The NOA

The starting point to explore Northwest Argentina

From Salta you can access the most breathtaking destinations in Northwest Argentina: the vineyards of Cafayate, the Quebrada de Las Conchas, the Salinas Grandes salt flats, the Quebrada de Humahuaca (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Valles Calchaquíes route, and the beautiful Hornocal mountain with its 14 colors. All this and much more, just a few hours away.

The Hotel

Selina Salta — your base in the heart of the city

Selina Salta is located at Balcarce 460 — the most vibrant street in the city, just 5 blocks from Plaza 9 de Julio and close to all points of interest, so you can explore La Linda on foot throughout your entire stay with us!

Our history

A hotel with its own identity, at the best point in Salta

The space where Selina Salta now stands used to be an old residence that housed travelers coming and going from different places, taking advantage of the proximity to the station of what we now know as the Train to the Clouds, named after getting wrapped in condensed steam due to the extreme cold it traveled through at the heights of the Argentine Puna.
